General Description
History
Master's Program of Institute of Social Sciences Department of Music In the academic year of 2012-2013 it was established to train academics who targeted academic career.It continues its to make advanced scientific music researches.
Qualification Awarded
The people (graduates)who complete this program successfully is given in the Department of Music Masters degree.

Specific Admission Requirements
To the music high program,students are taken with the interviewed and written exam.The number of students and and the qualifications for prospective students in a Music graduate program are announced before the beginning of each half-year.In this ad ,application requirements and deadline,the date and place of the candidates will be interviewed indicated. For students who want to graduate in areas related to music (fine arts colleges and conservatories)ALES is not required.This will be held for students in the field of assessment regarding the adequacy of the written and practical exam score 60%, 20% of undergraduate grade point average, taking 20% of foreign language points are collected.This sum must be at least 60. In admission of students to the music graduate program,candidates have validity from one of the UDS, TOEFL exams of English, French or German language or other national or international examinations are based on the score obtained by Interuniversity. Being regarded as a candidate declared successful base points and points at the top of this base, candidates are placed to rank from highest score is declared by the quota related to the program.Instead of candidates who register for various reasons, candidates on the reserve list in order of scoring and graduate academic calendar are entitled to register within the time limits.
Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal)
The students who meet the conditions of the University's graduate programs of accepted students and related high-tech INSTITUTE university or another institution within the main branches of science or any other institutions of higher education in graduate programs for students who have completed at least one semester can be considered through horizontal transfer. Other than this; a)The students who have succeded the lessons that have registered for the course. b)The successful students who managed to graduate grade point average of at least 70 points out of 100 points of lessons,may be admitted through transfer to a graduate program c)Horizontal transitions are made between the equivalent of providing education graduate programs. Departments of the Institute at the end of each semester transfer students will be able to accept the next semester quota notify the director of the institute.Quotas are submitted to the Rector discussed at the institute. d)Candidates,must do their application for the horizontal transition with a petition at least 15 days before the beginning of the semester about the institute's director. e)By Main Branch of the Institute,, candidates are ranked by evaluating bachelor's, master grade received by the number of graduate courses, credits and grades,and this ranking is fixed discussing in the Institute and the Board of Directors. Outside formal education institutions in Turkey based on non-formal certification or experience-based (in formal and non-formal) learning is the beginning stage of the process of recognition.Therefore, all programs of the University of Ordu has not been started in full recognition of prior learning .
Qualification Requirements and Regulations
Music majors program consists of not less than 24 credits at least eight courses, one seminar course and thesis work.Total number of AKTS credits of the program is 120. Students who complete successfully of 120 credits AKTS level and successfully defend the related thesis before a jury,are provided sufficient condition for graduation.(To ensure proficiency during the training course should be taken from each grade is 70 points out of 100.)
Profile of The Programme
In The Department of Music Graduate Program lessons are located about thesis students in the doctoral program in this area with the aim to prepare the music süresc addressing the emergence and development of research methods and methodological lessons.The direction of culture, art, composing, executive of music are being investigated in detail, will make students' interests and future research areas keeping in mind their bit's dripping compulsory, elective courses are taught as a part.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples
The students who graduate from Institute of Social Sciences Department of Music may be directed to doctoral programs.They qualify and competencies to be researchers in various positions in universities, academics and experts in the fields of science.Other than this ,they can be musician in the radio and television of TRT,and can be musicians in the Ministry of Culture State Choir and program makers and and get training with the condition elementary and high school teachers in public education centers .
Access to Further Studies
Students who successfully complete the Graduate Education program(without ALES condition) provided that sufficient language knowledge in their field or related fields may apply to doctoral programs in the arts proficiency.
Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
Lessons are given in semester and final exams are evaluated by the training visa.

Located in the presence of three faculty members of Department of Music is within from Music and Performing Arts.It has one computer lab,10 classes and individual studying room,one multipurpose saloon,one orchestra class,one choir class,one instrument room,one meeting room and library and enough administrative offices
