General Description
|
|
History | Ordu University Faculty of Divinity date 23.06.2012 and published in the Official Gazette No. 28 332 2012/3243 dated 24.05.2012 and the date of ministers was established by a decision of the board , depending on the Ordu University .
| Qualification Awarded | The students who graduate the Faculty of Divinity are awarded bachelor degree on Theology and 'Theologian' title. | Level of Qualification | First Cycle | Specific Admission Requirements | The students who do well in the exam which by Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM) among the students who graduate from high schools and their equivalents are accepted at Ordu University Faculty of Theology. For the students who graduate a foreign country’s secondary school, their diploma equivalency have to be approved by Ministery of National Education.
| Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal) | Admission can be made from the institutions of which equivalency is recognized by Higher Education Council (HEC). | Qualification Requirements and Regulations | Students must be successfull and/or pass all courses on the programme including graduation thesis and internship that are explained education and exam regulation of Ordu University. | Profile of The Programme | Our goals are, in the process of enlighting society, in primary and secondary level schools, to educate the staff who will be employed in the units of Presidency of Religious Affairs in the light of contemporary and Islamic sciences, and also, to bring the researchers who can find out and evaluate all kinds of book and document existing in our libraries and who acquaint classic and contemporary Turkish-Islamic culture in science world.
Our objectives are to be a pioneer faculty which conducts training, education and research activity with objective konwledge in the field of religious sciences, directed towards solutions of local, national and international problems, which guides scientific studies and researchs, which possesses international student and instructor profile. | Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples | Graduates take professional role in establishment of many public and private sector: The teacher at official and private institutions and imam, preacher (vaiz) and mufti at The Presidency of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Turkey. | Access to Further Studies | The graduates holding Bachelor’s Degree are eligible to apply to Master’s Degree programmes at national level and /or international level both in the same and in related disciplines. | Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading | For each course assessment and grading is described in Syllabus in details. Grades are assessed through relative assessment system. Assessment is done according to the Education and Examination Regulation of Ordu University and accomplishment is evaluated with activity such as term and final examinations and homeworks. | Graduation Requirements | Students must take and pass all necessary courses, graduation thesis and the dissertation listed in curriculum totaling 240 ECTS credits and reach a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.00. | Mode of Study (Full-Time, Part-Time, E-Learning ) | Full-Time | Address, Programme Director or Equivalent | Program Coordinator: Assist. He reads and evaluates the sources and texts written in Arabic, Ottoman Turkish and western languages.
