Ordu University is a young university founded in 2006 by the combination of different
academic departments of Ondokuz Mayıs and Karadeniz Technical Universities which
are two important universities with long-established academic background. This important
background guides success as the experience of well-establishment and with the dynamism
of youth under the roof of Ordu University.
The primary goal of our university is to raise all of existing associate's degree
and bachelor's degree programs to the highest level and to make the inactive ones
prepared to start education. This ideal is also valid for graduate programs.
Educational programs in our university are built with the target of qualified men
power equipped with professional knowledge and in cooperation with the sector not
only for scientific necessities but also for being able to fulfill the necessities
of sector. In addition to this, we have agreements with a lot of university about
student and academician movements with international cultural programs.
The infrastructure conditions have been becoming stronger day-by-day for providing
top-level information and communication technology services to the members of Ordu
University. Within this scope, wireless internet, online library and databases,
remote education, IP radio-television broadcasting opportunities have been provided
for our members.
Social life in our university has been ongoing via student clubs significantly.
For several hobbies and subjects, 40 student clubs actively enrich our campus life.
Ordu University has a campus in the modern city of Ordu that has unique sea view
and clean forest air. The campus is almost like an extension of that beautiful city
thanks to its harmony with town center.
