The Department of Health Management was established in 2019 to provide trained manpower to ensure that the healthcare system is run professionally and efficiently. The aim of the program is to train students who have theoretical knowledge of health management at a level that will contribute to the sector, who can plan, carry out and conclude independent research in their field, and can take part in a multi-disciplinary study. The language of instruction of the program is Turkish. |

In order to be accepted to this program, it is necessary to complete the processes determined by the OSYM within the framework of the academic and legal legislation of the university and to pass the exams. In addition, the conditions specified in the application announcement must be met. |
Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal) |
Graduate programs may be accepted related university or an other institute department in higher technological institute or another institution of higher education graduate program successfully completed at least one semester of student by transfer. Admission requirements to transfer determined with regulations adopted by Senate. |

1. To have knowledge about theoretical and practical information related to the field of health management and to be able to implement this knowledge
2. To gain knowledge and skills on understanding, analyzing and directing administrative, financial, technical and medical process of health organizations
3. To understand basic elements of health system in national and international level, to comprehend health planning and health policy, to analyze health sector economic and financially
4. To have knowledge and skills to make advanced quantitative and qualitative analyses in health management and to be able to implement this knowledge
5. Critical andinnovativethinking in problems faced during health management process, having the ability to use scientific methods and technics in decision making and problem solving
6. Following the changes in the field of health care management and have the ability to provide specific solutions related health care system of the country

Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples |
Graduates of this department take charge in public (Ministry of Health, Universities, Armed Forces Affiliated Hospitals) or private sector (private hospitals, pharmaceutical and medical device companies, insurance companies and other private health institutions). They can take charge in department of account and finance, human resources department, marketing department and patient relations department of healthcare institutions. They also have chance to be employed as a supervisor or specialist at several public institutions notably Ministry of Health and Social Security İnstitution. |

The measurement and evaluation methods applied for each course are defined in the "Course Teaching Plan" prepared by the relevant lecturer / s and included in the information package.
Regarding exams and course grades, the relevant articles of Ordu University Postgraduate Education Regulation are applied.
