General Description
|
|
History | The Department of Fisheries Technology Engineering Department was opened with the letter of B.Ö.30.0.EÖB.0.00.03-06.03-2182 / 21214 dated 23.09.2005 of the Council of Higher Education. Since 2016-2017 Academic year spring semester, students started to be taken to the Doctoral Program of Fisheries Technology Engineering Department. | Qualification Awarded | The title of the Scientist, Doctoral degree. | Level of Qualification | Third Cycle | Specific Admission Requirements | The criteria specified in "Graduate Education-Training Regulation" at our university are applied. | Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal) | The process of recognition of prior learning in Turkish Higher Education Councils is at an early stage. For this reason, recognition of prior education in all programs of the Ordu University has not been fully started. However, exemption exams are held at the beginning of each semester for courses such as English which are included in the compulsory curriculum of the departments. Those who are successful in the examination are exempted from the relevant degree in the curriculum. | Qualification Requirements and Regulations | The criteria specified in "Graduate Education-Training Regulation" at our university are applied. | Profile of The Programme | The Fisheries Technology Engineering Department which is proposed to be opened educates certified engineers intended for ensuring sustainable management and researching of fisheries resources; and resarches. The main research activities include fisheries management, aquaculture, aquaculture processing and evaluation, aquatic toxicology, molecular biology, oceanography, marine pollution, marine ecology, fish diseases. | Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples | Our graduates can work at maritime transport and aquaculture sectors, in the units attached to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, n the central and provincial organizations of the Undersecretariat of Maritime Affairs, which is affiliated to the Ministry of Transport, in the Ministry of Environment and its affiliated organizations, as academicians at various universities and at other institutions | Access to Further Studies | Students who finish this program can do post-doctoral studies. | Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading | It is necessary to attend the lectures taken by the student and pass the midterm and final exams made by the lecturer in the doctoral program Ordu University Deptartment of Fisheries Technology Engineering. The success grade of a doctorate course is the sum of 40% of the midterm grade average and 60% of the final or final exam grade. In order for the student to be considered successful, , the passing grade should be 75 provided that this note is at least 70.
