History | The program was opened on 13.11.2019 and started accepting students in the Spring semester of the 2019-2020 Academic Year. | Qualification Awarded | Masters with thesis | Level of Qualification | Second Cycle | Specific Admission Requirements | Candidates must have a bachelor's degree, have received at least 55 points from ALES or an equivalent exam, and must have met the other conditions specified in the announcement. Being successful in the entrance exam. | Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal) | | Qualification Requirements and Regulations | At least 21 National Credits, 120 ECTS Credits, including at least seven courses, one seminar course, and thesis work. | Profile of The Programme | The aim of the Social Studies Teaching program is to provide students who are equipped with the knowledge, skills and attitudes to be able to serve in the field of Social Studies Teaching profession, internalize ethical values, are aware of the realities of the world and have adopted the importance of lifelong learning, and have the knowledge, skills, attitudes and attitudes to be able to do education, training and research in the field. To train teachers who have experience, can think critically, have high self-confidence and can follow innovations in their field. | Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples | Our graduates are employed as Social Studies teachers or administrators in private or public primary schools. In addition, students complete their master's and doctorate degrees in the Department of Social Studies Education or other branches of science that accept students from this field and work as lecturers in higher education institutions and teachers in primary schools. Graduates of this program are appointed as Social Studies teachers by the Ministry of Education if they receive the required score from KPSS. | Access to Further Studies | Candidates who have successfully completed their undergraduate education can study in postgraduate programs, provided that they receive a valid score from the ALES exam and have sufficient foreign language knowledge. | Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading | Students must attend classes and take exams. The student's attendance is monitored by the course instructor. All exams are evaluated out of 100 full points, and a midterm exam (or mid-semester study assignment) and a final exam (final) are held for each course.
