Objectives of the Course
The aim of the course to give comprehensive information about personal and general safety measures together basic organic laboratory techniques. In addition, it is intended to give the required basic information for the students who will prefer to work at research and development departments in the sector or continue with academic research studies in the future. The student group works and seminars that allow them to increase their self-confidence and develope the ability of scientific presentation are among the objectives of the course.

Learning Outcomes
1have a knowledge of safe working rules in the laboratory, personal safety and aware of environmental pollution and safety.
2have a basic knowledge to run effective and practical work in the research laboratory
3might suggest new ideas for setting up the most appropriate, safe, economical and practical reaction systems.
4have necessary kowledge about basic organic laboratory equipment and application areas.
5have the basic qualifications for planning, terminating an experiment and purification techniques.
6have the ability to present and transfer of the information has obtained, accurately and effectively.

Safety, Keeping Test Findings, Calculating Yield, Glass Materials and Devices Used in Organic Chemistry Laboratory, Preparation Reagents and Solvents for the Reaction, General Laboratory Procedures, Working with Gases, Inert Atmosphere Studies, Installation Reaction Systems, Moving the Equilibrium in Reactions, Organic Purification Processes, Catalytic Hydrogenation, High Pressure Reactions, Ozanation, Special Reactions.
