Dersin Amacı

The aim of the course is • to teach hypothesis of genetic resources • to equip students with the knowledge and skills of plant genetic resources • to give students the opportunity to measuring and interpreting germplasm. • to enable students develop the ability of having information about plant genetic events.

2	The principles of the studies in crop genetic resources(coordination, education, land ypot and gene bank) and the importance of education
3	The effective factors in catching up with variation(accumulation of genetic knowledge, accumulation of ecological knowledge, practical facts
4	The importance and purpose of collection, plant and region priorities in collecting, optimum plant collection and affecting factors
5	The importance of the stalls in plant collection, the number of stall and plant which will be imitate, distribution of the stalls, the number of plant which will take from the stalls
6	Plant collection techniques, keeping records
7	The use of plant genetic resources, factors threatening plant genetic resources(classical and biotechnological factors)
8	Midterm exam
9	Protection of plant genetic resources, artificial and natural protection, the botanical gardens, the legal regulations in protection
10	Gene bank, cleaning seed, drying seed
11	Definition of seed liveliness, classification according to seeds liveliness properties , following of the new material, germination tests, determining the liveliness without making germination
12	Seed packing, comparison of packaging materials, the principles of storage, factors affecting the liveliness in storing
13	Storage of vegetative material, vegetative material which is the source of gene, the properties of vegetative material
14	Distribution, production and regeneration of plant genetic resources, assessment of plant genetic resources
