Objectives of the Course
In order to become a computer literate, it is necessary to give basic information about information systems and basic skills of using operating system and office application programs (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) at the basic level.

1Awareness of the need for lifelong learning; the ability to access information, monitor developments in science and technology, and constantly update oneself.
2Ability to communicate effectively in Turkish orally and in writing; knowledge of at least one foreign language; ability to write effective reports and understand written reports, prepare design and production reports, make effective presentations, give and receive clear and understandable instructions.
3A complex system, process, device or product under realistic constraints and conditions, the ability to design to meet specific requirements; ability to apply modern design methods for this purpose.
4Defines computer hardware parts.

The study of methods and techniques of accessing information and the acquisition of skills in their use are within the scope of “Basic Information Technology Use”. Basic concepts for information technologies such as Information, Informatics, Computers, Technological Development, professional concepts and applications, programming languages and current software applications (such as Windows, Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, ...) constitute the basic course content..
