Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to enable the student who chooses the art of acting as a profession to perceive the ethical and moral understanding required by the profession. In this way, it is the basic aim of this course that provide the students with the professional ethics and discipline which need.

Learning Outcomes
1To have the basic, knowledge, skill and working discipline related to the acting profession.
2To gain the necessary perspective on ethics and discipline of theatre and acting profession.
3To be able to apply the discipline and skills in a theatre organization or company acquired by the practices for the cleaning, maintenance and protection of the decor, costumes and accessories in this course.
4To learn stage and backstage practices and manners. To gain the ability to achieve the duties and responsibilities given to them within the organizational structure.

• Explaining to the student that the acting profession is not only practice method but also it is a moral and educational discipline. • Definition of auxiliary and supporting equipment of acting profession. • to teach the concepts and terms of acting used throughout the history of theatre • to teach the use, placing and classification of decor, costume and accessories, maintenance and cleaning. • The students are responsible for the preparation of the relevant costumes, decor and accessories according to the structure of the play to be performed on the stage. • The students are responsible for the cleanliness, ventilation and organizing of the classrooms, workshops and scenes within the professional responsibility and ethical understanding. • Determination of the relevant technical support team, decor costume and accessory responsible for the graduation play and school play activities performed in the upper classes and embezzlement of related equipment to these designated persons. • To teach the practice of cleaning the scenes before the plays to be performed, to ventilate this area to be ready for the audience and to plan how and what this will be performed before the play time.

1Meeting to the student and explaining the principles of acting profession.
2Explaining and discussing the occupational ethics of acting. Determining what the actors and actresses auxiliary and supporting equipment is inside or outside of the stage.
3Describing the purpose and requirement of the decoration, costume and accessory room.
4Decor, costume and accessories room organization and regulation of relevant tools and equipment. Classification of decor, costume and accessories for the needs of the department.
5Assignment of the tasks related to the preservation and control of the decor, costume and accessories placed on the students. Determining who is responsible for decor, costume, accessory and technical team assistants.
6Explaining to control and check of costume and accessories in the decor room or stock room. Showing the students through by different examples in the practice.
7Introducing the stage, workplace, classrooms and equipment of the acting department to the student and giving basic information about them. To give information about usage, protection, ventilation, cleaning and basic maintenance of these classrooms and workshops.
8Midterm Exam.
