This course will acquaint the students with basic classical texts of the field. Furthermore, the students will gain necessary skills for history by means of this course.

Course Contents
This course will benefit from the primary and classical secondary historical texts of the Muslim societies and western world. The coverage of the course will be from antiquity to the mids of 15th century. The course will focus on basic materials and methods of field of history (methods, sources and their usage, research techniques, philosophical concepts)and will try to comprehend the students that how historical explanation changes in accordance with time, space and cultural context.
