Examination of the reasons and results of the Ottoman Reforms in 18. Century and analyzing the new ideas that came with the westernization.

Course Contents
Major reforms period of the Ottoman Empire ( Tulip Era, III. Selim and Nizam – ı Cedid, II. Mahmut reforms, The Hatt-i Sharif of Gulhane, 3 November 1839, Edict of Reform, I. Constitutionalism, 23 December 1876, II. Constitutionalism, 23 July 1908, Reforms: political, social, religious, culturel, financial) with their reasons and results. The main aim is to inform the students about the cultural and social life of the Ottoman Empire carried out administrative reform the empire with the idea of political education by portraying the struggles of the formation. European social, political, financial life will be taught. Ottomanism, Pan-islamism, Turkism will be expressed.
