Objectives of the Course
To provide basic information about general geology information, soil types, geological cycles, GPS (Global Positioning System) and map information and to teach the possibilities of using this information in forestry studies.

Learning Outcomes
1Learn the structure of the earth and rock types.
2Relation between geological time and geological events.
3To learn basic concepts about terrestrial measurement and map information.
4To learn basic concepts about classification of maps, map scale and edge information.
5By interpreting the measured values correctly, it can calculate faults, mismatches and geomorphological thicknesses and locations on the geological maps.

Course Contents
The course consists of theoretical and practical parts. Derste geological map signs, topographic maps, geological map reading and interpretation will be taught necessary procedures. problems will be solved about the subject.

8Type of geologic contacs. The color notation for rocks and ts for standardizing colors of rock units in geologic maps.

11Magmatic-volcanic structures and field relations.
