Objectives of the Course
With this course, to learn the definitions and regulations related to occupational health and safety, to learn the security and protection systems that should be taken in electrical installations.

Course Contents
Occupational Health and Safety concept, employer, employee and government obligations, Safety culture, work accident, occupational disease, danger and risk. The effects of the current on the human body, safety and personal protective equipment to be used in Low Voltage and High Voltage. Static electricity, flammable / explosive environments, explosive environment (exproof) electrical installations. Safe working with hand tools, maintenance repair locking procedure. In the related regulations, occupational health and safety, grounding / protection related items. Grounding in electrical installations: basic concepts, types, IT, TT, TN systems, relays and fuses, project examples. The functions of the protection system, overvoltage / current, isolation level. Feeder protection systems / Distance protection systems, Power transformer protection systems, Fault notification, event recording and communication systems
