The Qualification of ARCHITECTURAL RESTORATION is obtained upon graduation from the programme ARCHITECTURAL RESTORATION, which requires; Completion of all the courses designated within the curriculum of the programme, having a total of 120 ECTS Credits, with passing grades, and Achievement of a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of at least 2.00 out of 4.00.
Profile of The Programme
Associate's Degree Programme in ARCHITECTURAL RESTORATION (a short cycle programme in QF-EHEA and 5th level programme in TYYÇ) is a vocationally/practically-oriented, short stream (cycle) programme, specifically designed for students to acquire the practical skills, and know-how needed for employment in a particular field of occupation or trade. The successful completion of the programme provides the graduates with a labour-market relevant qualification. ARCHITECTURAL RESTORATION can be classified as regard to "ISCED (The International Standard Classification of Education) 2011" and "NQF-HETR (The Turkish Qualifications Framework for HE)" profiles (orientation) and fields of education as follows: ISCED Field of Education: 21 - Arts ISCED Level: 5, Orientation (Profile): 55, Subcategory: 554 - Vocationally-oriented "short cycle" degree. NQF-HETR Field of Education: 21 - Arts NQF-HETR Profile of Education: Vocationally-oriented "short cycle" degree.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples
Department graduates can work at architectural offices, ateliers and workshops, archaeological excavations and sites, subsidiary units of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, museums, the directorate of Surveying and Monuments, the directorates of conservation and restoration center laboratories, the directorates of KUDEB (as a subsidiary unit of metropolitan municipality), the directorates of KUDEB (subsidiary units of the district municipalities), and in the regional directorates of the General Directorate for Foundations.
Access to Further Studies
Department graduates can transfer to four-year architecture, interior architecture, movable cultural property restoration and tile repair programs through DGS exam.
