Objectives of the Course
It is aimed to teach the basic principles and methods of amateur fishing in our country and in the world, to introduce the limitations in fishing, to introduce fishing gear and fishing equipment, and to enable amateur fishermen to distinguish their target species.

Learning Outcomes
1To understand the ethical principles of amateur fishing and to know the characteristics of fish species that can be caught in sea and fresh water.
2To recognize the fishing equipment used in recreational fishing and learn how to use these equipment.
3To be able to manage recreational fishing in inland waters and to understand the methods of data collection and evaluation in recreational fishing.

Course Contents
Prohibitions and regulations in amateur fishing, species caught in fishing and their habitats, characteristics of fresh and salt water, fishing rod types, natural and artificial baits, hunting of some species living in fresh and salt water, and amateur fishing legislation will be explained.
