Academic Authorities
The rector is the prime authority and responsible of using and developing the university’s
and the dependent departments’ education capacity rationally, providing the students
with necessary social services, taking security precautions if necessary, planning
and carrying out the education, scientific research and publishing activities in
accordance with the state development plan, aims and principles, controlling and
supervising the scientific and administrative activities, transferring these duties
to sub-departments, following and controlling them and getting results.
The senate consists of vise rectors, an academic member from every faculty who are
elected for three years and the directors of institutions and high schools that
are dependent to rectorate. The rector is in the chair of senate.
