Specific Admission Requirements
In order to apply for a doctoral program, candidates must have a bachelor's degree or a master's degree with thesis. -To have received at least 55 points from ALES or an equivalent exam in programs that require ALES, -To have received at least 55 points from YDS or an equivalent exam. -To have met the other conditions specified in the announcement.

Profile of The Programme
Turkish Education Doctoral Program aims to train individuals who will bring innovation to this field by thoroughly researching current and advanced information on teaching Turkish as a native and foreign language to different target audiences with contemporary research methods and techniques. In this way, it is one of the missions of the program to take steps to close the gap in qualified academics needed in our universities by individuals specialized in the field. In addition, one of the aims of the program is to contribute to the Turkish National Education system with various researches on Turkish teaching. It is also among the goals of the program to help students who have completed their master's theses in teaching Turkish and other fields related to Turkish to continue their studies at the doctoral level.

People who successfully graduate from the Turkish Education Doctoral Program and earn the title of doctor can work as academicians in relevant departments of universities and research centers.

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
Students must attend classes and take exams. The student's attendance is monitored by the course instructor. All exams are evaluated out of 100 full points, and a midterm exam (or mid-semester study assignment) and a final exam (final) are held for each course. In courses where midterm and final exams are given, the success grade is calculated by taking 40% of the midterm exam grade and 60% of the final exam.
Graduation Requirements
Successfully completed at least 8 lectures and seminars, doctoral qualifying exam and thesis proposal defense, provided that it is not less than 24 national credits; Students who submit at least 3 successful thesis monitoring committee reports and pass the thesis defense exam are awarded a doctorate diploma.

1Develop and deepen the current and advanced knowledge in the Turkish language education with original thought and/or research and come up with innovative definitions based on Master's degree qualifications.
2Conceive the interdisciplinary interaction which the Turkish language education is related with ; come up with original solutions by using knowledge requiring proficiency on analysis, synthesis and assessment of new and complex ideas.
3Evaluate and use new information within the Turkish language education in a systematic approach.
4Develop an innovative knowledge, method, design and/or practice or adapt an already known knowledge, method, design and/or practice to another field; research, conceive, design, adapt and implement an original subject.
5Critical analysis, synthesis and evaluation of new and complex ideas.
6Gain advanced level skills in the use of research methods in the Turkish language education of study.
7Contribute the progression in the Turkish language education by producing an innovative idea, skill, design and/or practice or by adapting an already known idea, skill, design, and/or practice to a different field independently.
8Broaden the borders of the knowledge in the Turkish language education by producing or interpreting an original work or publishing at least one scientific paper in the field in national and/or international refereed journals.
