At least 21 National Credits, 120 ECTS Credits, including at least seven courses, one seminar course, and thesis work.
Profile of The Programme
The aim of Primary School Teaching program is to raise expert individuals have necessary information, skill, attitude, and experience to educate and have high level of original researches and have critical thinking, high self esteem, and capable of following scientific research methods, and innovations in his/her field on a national and international scale.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples
Our graduates have the opportunity to work for the Ministry of National Education and private educational institutions as primary school teachers and as academicians.
Access to Further Studies
Students, completed the MA Degree Program successfully, can apply to Primary School Teaching PhD Program in Educational Sciences Institutions of other universities or can study in other related PhD programs in the requirements of application.

Graduation Requirements
Having taken and successfully completed at least 7 courses and seminars, not less than 21 national credits; Students who are successful in the thesis defense exam are awarded a master's degree.

Key Learning Outcomes
1Transfer concepts of the primary teaching to the application environments, use them appropriately and effectively, explain the relationship between these concepts.
2Possess the knowledge of the most appropriate teaching and assessment methods and techniques for the content knowledge and objectives of primary school curriculum.
3As scientifically literate primary school teachers, know how to access knowledge, follow and evaluate new research.
4Follow, evaluate and use basic resources, publications, and national and international reports related to the area of primary education
5Possess scientific and professional ethic values and awareness.
6Develop research questions from the problems faced in schools and classrooms, define the problem, collect data by using appropriate research methods and techniques, analyze and evaluate them to come up with solutions
7Get accepted in different socio-cultural environments as teachers, plan and apply social responsibility projects and activities to help develop culture, social life, and environmental awareness.
8Plan the teaching and learning environment by considering developmental characteristics, individual differences, and preparedness of primary school students, their resources and the curriculum; use educational technologies effectively, develop appropriate teaching materials, use teaching and learning strategies, methods and techniques on the basis of theoretical knowledge, and use multiple assessment methods to assess students? knowledge.
9Take part in quality management processes to help the development of school and society, lead or take responsibility as a team member.
10Use Turkish accurately and effectively. Know at least one foreign language enough to communicate with colleagues and to follow foreign literature.
11Gains lifelong learning behavior and comprehension
12Critically evaluate knowledge and skills, sustain professional development by joining in-service training programs organized by Ministry of National Education, national and international organizations, universities or other institutions.
