Faculty of Music and Performing Arts ,Music Department is based on with education and training before the establishment of the faculty. While it is t the structure of Faculty of Fine Arts preparing the ground for the establishment of our faculty,and universıty ,It was built with the decision of the Council of Ministers dated 05.07.2012,and it was transferred to the structure of the Faculty of Music and Performing Arts which was published in the Official Gazette dated 05.08.2012. |
Qualification Awarded |
All the students, who are completed the training program to fulfill all the requirements of Music, are eligible to receive bachelor's degree in this field.

Specific Admission Requirements |
Our program which takes with special aptitude test Pre-registration and the Schedule and to have a high school diploma.In the Transition to Higher Education Examination which is performed by the Student Selection and Placement Center must be taken of any type a score of 140 points or more. Specific aptitude test which was made at the structure Music Department must be succeded. |
Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal) |
In the Turkish Higher Education Institutions, formal recognition of prior learning, horizontal and vertical transitions within the university,are made under Institutions of higher education and bachelor's degree level, switch between programs, double major, with a minor in respect of inter-institutional credit transfer to the regulation,which Is determined by the Board of Higher Education. Outside the formal or non-formal education in Turkey based on the experience certificate-based (in formal and non-formal) learning recognition process is under returned to the board yet. However, in the University of Ordu ,plans for training programs for English courses ,exemption exam is held at the beginning of each academic term. Students who are considering this course competencies expected, have the right to take examinations. For other courses ,exemption depends on the decision of the faculty board. |

To complete all the courses successfully which are found in the program ( 240 ECTS credits), and to have a GPA of at least 2.00 out of 4.00, the condition of qualification required for graduation |

Department of Music, Music Art Branch, all the elements of this music, have been taught all aspects of theoretical and practical lessons. |
Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples |
The students, who are graduated from Department of Music, can work as vocal and instrumental artists in TRT radio and televisions, can work vocal and instrumental artists at The Ministry of Culture Institutions, work as Program Producer, pursue an academic career at university in various branches of music, be teacher in elementary and secondary schools besides in the adult education centers if they get pedagocial proficiency. |
Access to Further Studies |
The students who finished the education successfully,(without ALES condition)they may have graduate education in their field or a related field , provided that they have sufficient knowledge of foreign language. |
Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading |
Lessons are given as semester. Training are evaluated with mid-term and final exams.

Facilities |
Academic staff of the department consists of 1 professor, 1 associate professor, 2 assistant professors, 3 lecturers and 10 research assistants in the structure of music and the performing arts.It has a computer lab,10 classes ,and individual study room,1 saloon multipurpose,1 orchestra class,1chorus class,1 instrument class,1 meeting room and library and enough administrative office. |
