Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal) |
The provisions in “Regulation on Transfer among Associate and Undergraduate Degree Programs, Double Major, and Subspecialty and the Principals of Credit Transfer among Institutions in Higher Education Institutions” are applied. |
Qualification Requirements and Regulations |
For the graduation of the Machinery program students, in the four half-year course load total of 120 ECCT course work must be required with successfully complete
|
Profile of The Programme |
Efficient and right application of equipment and machinery in industrial actions are quite important. The lack of work force equipped and skilled in engineering sciences, production, mechanical design and mechanics fields with computer, analysis and design skills is high. Graduated students who have a mechanical technician title earn general knowledge and ability in the subjects such as traditional manufacturing methods, design techniques, material choice, computer-aided design and manufacturing methods. This programme intends to include all kinds of practical and theoretical aspects of the field of study and it aims to furnish students with fundamental knowledge about mechanical design, mechanical science and mechanical components to equip students with the skills required in conventional manufacturing methods, design techniques, material choice, computer-aided design and manufacturing methods. |
Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples |
Gradutuated students can be employed in a wide range of industries such as automotive and machine industry |
Access to Further Studies |
May apply to bachelor´s programs in related fields of study provided that the student obtains sufficient score in the Vertical Transfer Examination (DGS) administered by the Student Selection Centre or may apply to bachelor´s degree completion programs in related fields of study in Distance Education System |
Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading |
A variety of assessment methods such as mid-term(s), assignment(s), exercise(s), project(s), practice(s), and a final exam are implemented in the program. Assessment methods may include classical test(s), multiple-choice test(s), homework(s), performance evaluation(s), and product evaluation(s). In order to graduate from the program, cumulative academic degree (GANO) must be minimum 2.00. All students must be success at least a midterm and a final exam for all courses. All exams are assessed over 100 points. Students must succeed at least 50 points in final exam and the mean value of all exams for one course must be at least 60 points to achieve this course. A course grade is constituted by evaluating the above stated elements and given by using letters. Letter grades and their associated coefficients are as follows;
Grade:Factor; AA:4,0- BA:3,5- BB:3,0- CB:2,5- CC:2,0- DC:1,5- DD:1,0- FD:0,5- FF:0
