Objectives of the Course
to analyze Turkey’s religious movements, non-muslim communities and religious differences in the understanding of the historical, political, religious, socio-psychological point of view.

1Know and evaluate the relationship between Religion and sect-movement.
2Knows the reasons for differences between Muslims thought on religious matters.
3Knows the historical development of theological and institutional structures of non-muslim communities and different religious movements in Turkey.
4Knows religious movements that emerged in Turkey in recent centuries output and the basic ideas of cause-and-media.
5Knows the existence of different movements is naturel and that be tolerated althought not accepted.

Course Contents
The aim of the religious movements in Turkey, the resources, the religious current concept of the relationship of religion and politics, religious movements were the factors which influence the development of the existing religious movements; non-muslim communities; religious movements and religious-intellectual analysis of the structural, business sectors, traditional and innovative religious movements , these currents profiles of leaders and followers; religion approach to higher currents.
