Objectives of the Course
Students know the effects of human behaviors in culture and religion context. Students become aware of the roles of individuals, groups and ideas in various cultures. Students know and appreciate the value and contribution of various human experiences. Students will have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with events and human experiences that have shaped human history since its inception. Students have knowledge about the common subjects of human experience such as holiness, evil, suffering and suffering, love and compassion, wisdom, justice, hereafter, salvation and freedom.

Learning Outcomes
11 To demonstrate knowledge of the origins of each of the major world religions with specific interest in the social, cultural and ethnic backgrounds of the founders and earliest adherents of each of the major religions. 2 To identify and briefly explain the major teachings and practices of each of the world religions studied. 3 To engage in the learning process by noting the key metaphysical presuppositions and positions of each of the religions studied 4 To develop an awareness of the influence that each of the religions studied has had on the world as we know it. 5 To demonstrate the ability to use basic research tools available in the field of religion and philosophy, and draw reasonable conclusions on the basis of careful study.

Course Contents
What is religion? In the course of the History of Religions which started with the question of the origin of religion and the understanding of the main theories about religion and the classification of religion is the subject of examination. Secondly, the Mesopotamian and Egyptian beliefs, which are the dimensions to influence other religions, are treated as outlined. Thirdly, African beliefs are examined as an example of local tribal beliefs. Religions, which are also called "Living World Religions", are the religions of Indigenous Religions (Hinduism, Buddhism, Jaynism, Sikhism), Far Eastern Religions (Chinese Religions - Daoism and Confucianism - Shintoism and Near Eastern Religions (Judaism, Christianity and Islam) This course focuses on the examination of all the religions that have been carried out as if they were found to reflect on the lives of their members in the frame of their emergence, historical development, basic beliefs and worship.
