Objectives of the Course |
The main purpose of this course is to teach students differing understandings and various perspectives on the nature and causes of globalization process and also analyze and critically think about its effect on economy, politics, culture, media, gender/race/ethnicity relations and environment. |

1 | Upon successful completion of this course, the students are expected to: -Analyze the uneven process of globalization and its effects in terms of geographical scope, and national and local depth. -Understand the factors which have led to globalization in the context of the debate about the real content of the globalization process and the degree of change they invoke in the international system. | 2 | Have the ability to analyze and evaluate the causes and effects of globalization. - Understand the key international issues that are currently shaping the global political, economic, socialand cultural environment affecting globalization. |

Course Contents |
Globalization is the intensification of economic, political, social, and cultural relations across international borders. The course will begin with analyses of the definition of the term "globalization", the causes, nature, and effects of the process of globalization. The course will also focus on the controversy surrounding the pros and cons related to the phenomenon within the context of the evolution of the pro and anti globalization movements. |
