Objectives of the Course
To teach the basic concepts of reading skills, to show the reflections of reading theories to practice, to gain the ability to design activities to improve reading skills.

Course Contents
Contemporary methods and techniques that can be used in reading education; visual reading and presentation, development of comprehension skills; diagnosis and elimination of reading difficulties; structure of reading texts; teaching informative and narrative texts, intertextual reading; making meaning from texts, questions about texts and their types; developing critical thinking skills with critical reading; main idea teaching and methods; aims, types and rules of reading; evaluation of reading comprehension; Examining the Turkish program in terms of reading outcomes.
