Objectives of the Course
The members of the Turkish cultural circle, who have experienced historical cultural continuity and ruptures under different political dominations; How Turkish society in Turkey and other post-Soviet modern Turkish societies and contemporary Turkish communities in Europe (political environment, colonial and political and non-political immigrant communities) are positioned by interacting at the level of Western cultures, national culture and foreign culture, in the face of cultural change. It is aimed to analyze the dimensions and level of interaction, the cultural and social identities interacted with, the forms of thought and action they develop individually and socially, and the political language.

Learning Outcomes
1Develops the power of thinking and discussion based on theories of change around the phenomenon of culture.
2By analyzing the meanings attributed to the concept of culture by various political (and philosophical) thoughts, currents of thought and movements on 'Turkish' and 'Turkish culture', he selects synchronic-diachronic case studies in time-space and develops a perspective on historical sociology approaches.
3It solves the problems of cultural change, intercultural interaction and conflict around the distance of national culture and Turkish culture with other cultures (contact-relationship, interaction and conflict, change and change).

Culture, people and society; Turkish culture and Turkish civilization; The first ethnographic sources about the Turks; Turkish states in history; State, administrative, military and social structure in Turks; Folk beliefs and mythology in Turks; Relationship between human and space in Turks; Oral, written and material culture in Turks; Family structure in Turks; Demographic and cultural consequences of migrations in Turkish history; The spread of Turkish culture and its effect on neighboring geographies; The tangible and intangible cultural heritage of Turkey; transfer of natural and cultural heritage to future generations.
