Objectives of the Course
The lesson is aimed to provide learning like the subjects that consists of elements used in form analysis in Turkish Music such as form genre, structure and style,15th century forms, general devision of the forms in Turkish music, forms of instrument music ( peşrev, saz semaisi, medhal, longa, sirto, mandıra, taksim, çiftetelli, zeybek and the other instrumental works), verbal composition forms(kâr, kârçe, kâr -ı natık, beste, nakış, sengin semai, ağır semai, yürük semai, şarkı, türkü, gazel, köçekçe), religious music forms (cami musikisi, tekke musikisi), love composition forms (divan, mani, semai, kalenderi, müstezad, koşma, yıldız, destan, kerem- kesik kerem, ayvaz, şairleme,dübeyit, kayabaşı), Karagöz music, ortaoyunu, Janissary music forms, and operetta music forms.
