Objectives of the Course
This course aims to provide training for operational level deck engineering officers with responsibilities in cargo handling in particular to loading, care in transit of cargo, unloading, tank cleaning, gas freeing and inerting. This training includes theoretical as well as practical application of such knowledge through the use of liquid cargo handling simulator.

Course Contents
Oil, chemical and LNG/LPG tankers, control valves and equipments, inert gas system, tank atmosphere control, inert gas production. Cargo tank cleaning, crude oil washing, percolation, degassing, loading procedures, ballast operations, loading and unloading operations, operational problems and simulator practices.
