Objectives of the Course
Aim of this course is to give information about innovations in food processing, latest advances in non-thermal processing, alternative technologies and strategies for thermal processing, current topics in minimal processing of foods and modified atmosphere packaging for minimally processed foods.

This course covers topics such as new packaging technologies, edible films and coatings, microbial polysaccharides, high hydrostatic pressure, ultrasound, pulsed electric field, ultraviolet irradiation, pulsed light, ionizing radiation, elektroplazmoliz, electrolyzed water, supercritical fluid extraction and plasma technology.
