To provide students with a basic understanding of the current status of nanotechnology development, to provide information on the types, preparation methods and characterizations of nanostructures, to shed light on the applications of nanostructured structures in the fields of science and technology, to give an insight on innovation, to give information about the problems caused by nanoparticles and related safety risk assessment |

The level of development of nanoscience will be presented with emphasis on the interdisciplinary nature of the subject, in addition to the rapid development of experimental techniques and theoretical work and the breadth of the field. The course will start with some general information, physical principles. Then synthesis and characterization of nanosystems will continue with their lessons. In the ongoing courses, the diversity of nanostructures, technological applications of nanoscience will be reviewed, and the course will end with a chapter on nanochemistry, nanobiology, and finally nano-medicine. The broad application areas of nanochemistry will be addressed in more than one department. |
