Objectives of the Course
Students will develop practical and theorical skills to find, retrieve and analyze the data at the level of DNA, RNA and protein from major bioinformatic databases; develop judgement to evaluate analysis results; elementary knowledge of phylogenetics; basic understanding of protein structures and protein visualization.

A general introduction to key areas of bioinformatics: bioinformatic databases, genomics, DNA and protein sequences, protein structures; theory and practice of the most common computational tools used in bioinformatics and building of phylogenetic trees
