Objectives of the Course
Historical development of Russia from its origin to today. Her struggles with neigbours and states during her expention procces. Relations with the Ottomans, historical developments of Turco-Russian relations and struggles, information about Russian emperors and empresses, comparison of Petros’ reforms in Russian and Ottoman reforms, similarities and differences among the two states, information about Russian culture and social life of Russia.

The aim of this course is to narrate basic events in the Russian history to the students to provide understanding of political, social and cultural history.
