Water erosion, mechanical control methods of water erosion, definition of terrace, functions and classification, agricultural terrace system planning, design of agricultural terrace system, agricultural terrace construction, maintenance and repair, farming of terraced land, channel and rump terraces, soil and stone bench terrace, ditch terraces, pottery terrace, natural terracing, diverting, grassed waterways and gully control, solutions and discussions on terrace problems, examples of agricultural terraces and the discussions in Turkey and around the world.
