Establishing the principles of problem determination, creation of research question, choice of purpose and appropriate method in landscape researches 5. To introduce qualitative and quantitative methods in landscape research 6. To provide information on the preparation of research proposal and final report

Course Contents
Science and research; scientific research and paradigms, quantitative research approach, qualitative research approach, information on the effects of approaches on educational research. To give information about scientific ethics, scientific and ethical behaviors and sanctions applied against these behaviors. Determining the research question, hypothesis, purpose and scope of landscape architecture theory and practice; qualitative and quantitative research methods; hybrid research methods; validity and reliability in landscape research; Providing information on the creation of research proposals. Examination and evaluation of case studies that applied research methods and techniques applied in past and present. In the practice of the course; in line with the problems and objectives set forth for a specific area; to work on creating a unique methodology.
