Objectives of the Course

Determination of the economical and cultural problems in the turkish cinema, and the examination by comparison of turkish cinema's examples with the world's important cinema examples.

1	It is expected to join the class within curtain amount of research from libraries and/or internet databases as well as discuss individual subject and bring alternative results.
2	Students are expected to give seminar of their research where every member of the class join and share opinions.
3	It is aimed to have successful results by having course related materials including movies, CD's and books.
4	Students can reflect on the issues of civil society.
5	Students can apply the concepts of civil society to cinema.

Course Contents

Research on the historical course of issues of Turkish Cinema regarding production, pre-production, post-production, management, distribution and screening, relation between government and film sector from 1939 till today, legal regulations.
