Objectives of the Course |
This course will explore the multiple definitions of genre that are often at odds with one another. In order to open up such discussions on genre, the course will look at the classical genres that are often mix with other genres, erasing the very boundaries that define them. The course will explore the contemporary American Television show from the perspective of Film and Cultural Studies. Also, it will also focus on the narrative significance of the shows as well as the participation of the fans as co-writers. |

Course Contents |
In this course, film genres will be explored looking through different examples and American tv shows will be evaluated through film and cultural studies theories. |
