Course Contents

The concept of modernization and urbanization; the purpose and scope of research in the history of the city; the effects of modernization on social living; the political and social structure of the cities in the past; agriculture, ports, mining, industrial, military centers, bureaucracy, science, art and culture of the cities; resources in city history research.
