Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to analyze economy from a much wider perspective which includes not just production activities but also re-production activities mainly referred to women.

Course Contents
The content of this course consists of two related sections. In the first section, the theoretical background is analyzed in detail. This section includes philosophical foundations of modern economic theories, positivist perspective, post-modern epistemology, feminist epistemology, institutional economics, hermeneutical economics and masculinities. Second section includes practical economic outcomes of gender discrimination such as child care, elderly care, domestic labor, emotional labor, women's participation to politics, etc.
