Objectives of the Course
To determine the non-parasitic (abiotic, inanimate) factors causing the disease in plants, to inform the students about the symptoms of the disease in plants, to compare with the biotic (live) disease factors and their symptoms, and to give recommendations for the control of these diseases.

Learning Outcomes
1Know the damages and typical symptoms of adverse climate conditions in plants
2Understands the importance of soil-plant-water relationship in terms of plant health.
3Recognize the problems related to plant nutrient deficiency and excess and provide solutions
4Knows what kind of problems will be experienced if the physical and chemical properties of the soil are negative for plants.
5Know what kind of problems can be found in plants as a result of incorrect agricultural practices and give suggestions.

Course Contents
Plant diseases caused by unsuitable weather conditions (temperature, humidity, light, wind, lightning and precipitation), soil conditions (soil temperature, moisture, structure, types and amounts of soil nutrients in soil, soil pH), incorrect agricultural applications, air pollution, and industrial wastes and measures to be taken to prevent them.
