• Definition and importance of biological control • Natural equilibrium, economic threshold and relationships between biological control • Definition of biological control agents and natural enemies • Methods of biological control • Place of biological control in integrated pest management and organic agriculture • Basic identification biological control agents at family level • Predators (Vertebrates, mites and insects) • Parasitoids • Entomopathogens
