Objectives of the Course
• to teach medicinal and aromatic plants in Turkey with the usage areas, collection tecniques of medicinal and aromatic plants, preparation for market the physical and chemical processes of collected medicinal plants • to equip students with the knowledge and skills of biochemistry of medicinal and aromatic plants, drying tecniques, reaction after drying, evaluation of aromatic and medicinal plants(spice, perfumery, dye, drug sanayi) • to give students the opportunity to economically important medicinal and aromatic plants, protection of this plants in this areas(especially endemic plants), classification of their usages areas, main principle of analysing this plants, drying tecniques, to do stacking, definition of marketing

1To have the knowledge and skills of characteristics of medicinal and aromatic plants and its composition
2Effectively be able to main principle of analysing this plants, drying tecniques, storage conditions, compounds found in plants with medicinal properties
3Able to explain medicinal and aromatic plant production potential of Turkey, pharmaceutical and flavor industry in Turkey
4Demonstrate the ability to accurately determine the time of harvest and dry condition evaluation on the drug ındustry of medicinal and aromatic plants, measures to be taken in natural condition
