| Level of Course Unit | Second Cycle | Objectives of the Course | • to teach medicinal and aromatic plants in Turkey with the usage areas, collection
tecniques of medicinal and aromatic plants, preparation for market the physical and
chemical processes of collected medicinal plants
• to equip students with the knowledge and skills of biochemistry of medicinal and
aromatic plants, drying tecniques, reaction after drying, evaluation of aromatic and
medicinal plants(spice, perfumery, dye, drug sanayi)
• to give students the opportunity to economically important medicinal and aromatic plants,
protection of this plants in this areas(especially endemic plants), classification of their
usages areas, main principle of analysing this plants, drying tecniques, to do stacking,
