Objectives of the Course
Cartilaginous and bony fishes, as well as general features, and significant differences in expression of this important fish families belong to the taxonomic and biological properties of some description will be made. In addition, Turkey's major sea and inland water fish in the biological and economic importance, will be given detailed information on the endemic fishes.Cartilaginous and bony fishes, as well as general features, and significant differences in expression, biological properties of these fish will be explained and some of the major taxonomic families

Course Contents
The general content of the course consists of three stages: 1 - Turkey general information on freshwater fish and zoogeographical characteristics 2- Taxonomy and systematics description, taxonomic characteristics and classification methods of fish, biological and ecological characteristics of freshwater fish 3- Endemic species in Turkey and the expansion areas, important families which occur in inland waters; Acipensendae, Anguillidae, Mastacembelidae, Clupeidae, Salmonidae, Esocidae, Cyprinidae, Cobitidae, Ariidae, Siluridae, Bagridae, Sisoridae, Clariidae, Gasterosteidae, Syngnathidae, Cyprinodontidae, Poecilidae, Mugilidae, Atherinidae, Percidae, Blenniidae, Gobiidae, Pleunonectidae members of the sample types.
