Course Contents
• The definition of aquatic ecology • Importance history and scope of the (lakes, rivers,seas, bays, coral reefs, lagoons and ekotonlar). • Geomorphological features of aquatic ecosystems • Lakes zonasyon: 1-pelagic, benthic (marginal, littoral and profundal), marine zonasyon: 1-pelagic, 2-benthic (intralitotal, sirkalitoral, batial and abyssal), riversslope (where the current flows faster) and flat (slow discharge) areas of general ecological characteristics of rivers: • River ecosystems, succession and adaptation, • Stream eutrophication, and the ecological effects of dam construction, • River ecosystems, • Food chains and nets. • Aquatic factors affecting biological diversity • The effects of global climate change on aquatic ecosystems • The effects of sea level rise • Melting of the polar regions • Ice-covered lakes in direct interactions with the atmosphere • The possible ecological changes in these systems • The rising temperatures solubility of gasesand their effects on the metabolism of living things
