Course Contents

Definition, classification, collection, identification, quantification of plankton, systematic and general features of phytoplanktonic organisms, ecology of plankton, status and importance of phytoplankton on aquaculture, the basic concepts of culture, the culture tanks and ponds, culture media, organic nutrients and fertilizers, sources of contamination and sterilization, culture of microalgae, methods of storage and examined, control methods.
