Give basic information to students about the place and importance and functions of fishery organisations in general fisheries management concept and their vital roles in fisheries management plans both in the preparetion and implication stages. |

Introduction to fisheries organisations, fishery organisations and fisheries management, resource management, fishery organisations, governmental policy and fisher's targets, contradictions and harmonisation, international, regional and national organisations, membership to fishery organisations, designation based fisheries management, ownership rights origins and efficiency, unofficial fishing rights, producer organisations, fishing rights system, quota based management, role of fishery organisations in the catch based management systems, fishing rights and fisher's organisations, defence mechanisms, consultancy and lobbying, illegal market management, case studies. |
