Course Contents
Introducing microbiology laboratory environments and rules, preparation of bacterial nutrient media and sterilization techniques, aseptic transfers of microorganisms and culture forming methods, demonstration of the prevalence of microorganisms, determination of antimicrobial effects of various physical and chemical factors, examination of microorganisms and their infrastructures under microscope, selective and distinctive media and microorganisms various biochemical enzyme activities, determination of bacterial species, determination of bacterial growth curve, microbial analysis of various nutrients, water and soil samples, microbe-host relationships, growth and isolation of bacteriophages, determination of genetic characteristics of microorganisms, serological methods used in the recognition of microorganisms.
