Objectives of the Course

To comprehend the historical development and features of Old Turkish Literature, to introduce famous poets and writers together with their works and to introduce the culture of related periods through poetry and prose.

Course Contents

15-16. century studies on selected texts from Turkish Literature. Studies on the language understanding of the period, the social situation and the world view. Main features of Divan literature, main types and important representatives.
