Objectives of the Course
To provide the students to acquire the basic concepts of the linquistics and the ways of approaching to the language , people who contribute to the linquistics, their studies, the knowledge about descriptive aspect of the language and the usage characteristics of it.

Course Contents
Linquistics concept and its basic concepts. Saussare and the structuralism of Europe (Prag Linquistics School) and America, Statement theories, Introducig the approaches about the linquistics studies of different fields as semiotics. Being thought the studies of important people (Martinet, Bloomfield, Harris, Hjelmslev, Chomsky) who contribute to the studies of linquistics. Being made pragmatics analysis with usage of lanquage , in addition to the descriptive part.

6Ferdinand de Saussure and structural linguistics. Language-speech discrimination of Saussure
720th Century linguistics schools (Copenhagen School, the Prague School, American School, etc..) and their representatives (Martinet, Bloomfield, Harris, Hjelmslev, Chomsky vb.)
8Basic concepts and principles of Semiotics

10The concept of sign and its characteristics (showing, being shown , referent, the arbitrariness of sign, the linearity of sign, the variance and invariance of sign)
