Objectives of the Course

To comprehend an important period of Turkish literature and to make students aware of the political and literary developments between 1908-1923. To be able to comprehend some of the movements of ideas that emerged in this period and also affecting the Republican period.

Course Contents

The thought movements in the period of National Literature, the examination of the literature orientations created by these movements, the effects of the National Literature period on 20th century Turkish literature; Developments in Turkish Literature in the Republic Period up to 50 years; examining important works in the field of prose, poetry and theater; introduction of important literary figures belonging to these periods.

10	Republican Period Turkish Poetry (Aesthetic poetry understanding and the effect of literary movements in poetry).
11	Poets and writers representing Contemporary Turkish Literature, their works; The effects of period artists on Turkish society (Strange poem, poems of Hisar poets).
12	Attila Ilhan and Turkish poetry, Social poetry. Second critters and new insights in our poetry.
13	The Turkish Story in the Republican Era.
