Turkish folk poetry and its basic features, language characteristics of the folk poetry, local uses; important representatives and works of folk poetry; educational functions of folk poetry and folk tales

2	Language characteristics and local uses of folk poetry.
3	Anonymous folk poetry forms of verse: mania, folk songs.
4	The tradition of minstrelsy in Anatolia and the formation of minstrel literature.
5	The verse forms of minstrel literature: running, epic, semai, varsağı.
6	Âşık edebiyatı nazım türleri: Güzelleme, koçaklama, taşlama, ağıt.
7	Religious-Sufi folk literature.
8	Dinî-tasavvufi halk edebiyatında biçim ve tür.
9	Midterm exam
10	Important representatives and works of folk poetry.
11	Educational functions of folk poetry and folk tales.
